Nora is an extremely thoughtful and creative professional who is a master of creating spaces for dialogue and growth. In all my years in higher education I have met very few people as talented in developing groups, organizing programs, and leading discussions aimed at bringing students, faculty and staff to understanding complex cultural and structural issues. Nora is extremely talented at making each process informative and meaningful. |
Nora has done so many great things for students at Wellesley College. Her presentation, "It's Complicated and It's Possible," generated honest discussions about social class issues and taught students how to build community with class sensitivity. Nora also helped with Wellesley's Pan-Asian Council's annual retreat. By using humor and thought-provoking questions, Nora engaged the students throughout the entire presentation and kept them entertained while helping them identify their leadership styles and community values. Lastly, Nora worked with students in Fusion, a campus organization for mixed race students. She created a safe and comfortable environment for students to open up and tackle the complexity of mixed race experiences. It has been such a pleasure to invite Nora back to Wellesley again and again. She has always delivered powerful and memorable messages that have benefited the students and community at Wellesley College.
